Pianist and composer born in Santiago de los Caballeros where he studied classical piano with Cuban teacher Hilda Melis. Later he moved to the city of Boston, USA, studying Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music, where he granted a “Michel Camilo Scholarship”.
Miguel has studied jazz piano with renowned pianist Joanne Brackeen and have taken master classes with Michel Camilo, Danilo Perez and Miguel Zenon. He has played with musicians like Giovanny Hidalgo, Ramon Vasquez, Nestor Torres, John Benitez, Ralph Peterson, Sandy Gabriel, Guarionex Aquino, Crispin Fernandez, El Prodigio among others.
He has also worked with singers Danny Rivera, Maridalia Hernandez, Samuel Gonzalez, Sergio Vargas, Francis Santana and Rhina Ramirez. Bolero Blue born in 2013 as a result of his experiences with jazz and popular music combining the finest Latin American bolero songs with influences of jazz, Brazilian music, and Caribbean rhythms.
